PPing/GMing: There is No Power Playing and God Modeling allowed on the site. This means, not allowing people to defend themselves in a fight, and controlling the roleplay with your character's actions for Power Playing. For God Modeling, it means not making your character invincible. There has to be some way to either kill them, or get rid of them. You also cannot change your character repeatedly to suit the situation they are in. They are who you created them as, and mistakes in their creating will endure interference.
Murder!: There is to be NO killing others' characters without their permission. This has been a problem in the past. If you wish to kill another person's character then ask them, and say somewhere In your message that you had permission. It doesn't matter if it's just a small note above or below the message. Usually if the other person seems fine with it, it'll pass by unnoticed, but following this rule would be a nice change.
Random Characters: Random Characters are not allowed anymore due to the fact that there are plenty of students to replace them now. Our Characters Forum covers all of the students now, except ones yet to be put up. Random Characters are usually used when someone has to kill a student for a plot and they chose one that doesn't actually exist so that they don't have to kill someone else's character. Now, although you Do have to follow the killing rule above, you cannot simply have someone kill at random anymore.
Spamming: No spamming on the site. It's nice that we have someone deleting ooc posts at times, but unless it's something that has a Point or an intro, there's to be no posts over 3 messages long. That's your maximum, so start grouping your messages.
Characters: In the creation of characters, it would be appreciated if you would Use Your Own Work, and not copy from elsewhere. If you chose to use a character from any book/t.v show/video game/etc please include that in your character info and/or give some sort of credit to the creator.
Member Deletion: No deleting members unless you are a staff member. You shouldn't be Able to anyways, so this is kinda pointless.
Deleting Messages: Is essentially against the rules. Staff may Only delete ooc messages in character forums, or messages that are rude to others. If it's something someone has Asked you to delete then that is allowed, but otherwise there shouldn't be anymore complaining about deleted messages.
The Character Limit: The limit for the amount of characters you can have depends entirely on how many you've shown us that you can Handle. If you've been a member for a short time, then chances are that i'll cut you off at 3 characters for the time being. After about a week of roleplay, or less if you seem to be really good at it, i'll expand that to 5 characters. To have characters over 5 you will have had to be a member for quite a while, shown that you can rp all characters, and not leave some sitting in corners, or that you can sneak around the rules without me noticing. The third one isn't a great way to expand your limits though since chances are that you'll get caught eventually.
Respect: Please Respect others on the site, even if you happen not to like that person. You shouldn't be starting fights on the site or the cbox in any way, or swearing at people. This can get you kicked or banned. If you have a problem with something someone is saying or doing then please contact the leader, or talk with them over Private Messages Without saying something to offend them, or make them feel the need to fight back.
Threads: No creating new threads unless authorized or specified by someone or something above your ranking.
You may only make threads in the information pages to make it easier on you to find information or to suggest or present information. Otherwise permission must be specified outside of the rules.
Please Note: Link helped to edit these rules and checked them over. These rules were agreed on by pretty much everyone on the site when they were created.
